Kylie Jenner has owned at least nine dogs, led by Italian greyhounds. Norman, the first and most famous of them, died in 2025 at age 11; behind him came a pack that Kylie herself once explained with “they kept multiplying.” The dogs dominated her social media for years, then largely vanished from it, which is why the most-asked question about them now is simply where they all went.
Here is the full roster with what is actually documented about each dog, what Kylie has said herself, and what remains a fan theory rather than a fact. Also in this series: Taylor Swift’s cats.

Norman, the First Greyhound
Norman arrived in 2014, back when Kylie was a teenager declaring herself obsessed with Italian greyhounds, and he became a fixture of her feed and the family’s reality shows. Scott Disick once joked that walking her pack made the car “like a zoo.” Norman outlasted the lip-kit launch, motherhood, and a decade of feed redesigns.
He died in October 2025, and Kylie’s tribute was the rawest thing she has posted about any animal: “I still remember the day I brought you home. I had never loved anything so much… My heart aches for you.” Kourtney Kardashian’s comment under the memorial: “Why am I sobbing?” The Tab’s roundup of the pack after his passing called him the start of her whole pet era, which is the accurate obituary.

The Greyhound Years: Bambi, Sophie and Kevin
Bambi joined in 2015 as Norman’s companion and promptly made news of her own with a litter of surprise puppies. Sophie arrived around the same time, and Kevin came later. The multiplying pack is how Kylie ended up telling Jennifer Lawrence, in an Interview Magazine conversation, that she had seven dogs: “One of them had children, and I had to keep the family together.”
In the same era she named her best-ever hire: the dog nanny.
The Dachshunds: Penny, Ernie and Moo Pants
The pack was never all greyhounds. Penny the dachshund arrived as a gift, Ernie the long-haired dachshund followed, and both spent years appearing in holiday-sweater photos alongside the bigger dogs. Moo Pants, a dachshund puppy added in 2023, is the most recent dog with a documented arrival. Wesley, a mixed breed, rounds out the non-greyhound wing.
How Many Kylie Jenner Dogs Are There Now?
Kylie’s own last public count was seven, given in 2023. Since then the documented changes are one addition, Moo Pants, and one loss, Norman. What changed more than the number is the visibility: the dogs stopped appearing on her feed, and her recent pet posting has centered on two cats. Fans have tracked the shift closely:
“So kylie always had those italian greyhounds back in the day and then she just stopped posting about them a few years ago and the only thing i heard about them was that her og dog Norman passed away and i was like wow forgot he existed. then she posted with 3 dachshunds she got and then posted them for a week or so and then they disappeared completely. most recently she has 2 cats, and is obsessed with the white one but the brown one is also there. but she posted her “thankful” post and she put…”

The claims that the dogs live in a separate house under a caretaker’s watch circulate widely in those threads, but they are fan accounts, not anything Kylie has confirmed. What she has confirmed: a professional dog nanny handles day-to-day care, and the pack stopped being content. Between a nanny on payroll and a Norman tribute that raw, the fair reading is that the dogs are cared for and simply off camera.
The Italian Greyhound Effect
Kylie’s pack helped make Italian greyhounds an influencer breed, and the breed is a worse impulse buy than most. The American Kennel Club profile describes a sensitive, deeply attached companion dog; owners are blunter about what that means in practice:
“I’ve mentioned before on this sub; Italian greyhounds are *extremely* high maintenance (they are even sometimes called velcro dogs because they need to be near their owners at all times!) & prone to severe anxiety. Because of their high maintenance, they often end up in kill shelters. My neighbor had an Italian greyhound rescue and it was the sweetest dog/was great with kids (they loooove kids), but she had to bring her dog literally everywhere or ask neighbors to pop over & watch it ’cause it’…”

A velcro dog suits a household with someone home most of the day, or a Kylie-scale staff. Anyone drawn to the breed by the aesthetic should meet one first, and greyhound-specific rescues are full of proof that plenty of buyers skipped that step.
FAQ: Kylie Jenner’s Dogs
What breed of dog does Kylie Jenner have?
Mostly Italian greyhounds: Norman, Bambi, Sophie, and Kevin all belong to the breed. The pack also includes dachshunds Penny, Ernie, and Moo Pants, plus Wesley, a mixed breed. The greyhounds are the breed she built her early pet fame on.
How many dogs does Kylie Jenner have?
Seven, by her own most recent public count, before Moo Pants arrived in 2023 and Norman died in 2025. She has not updated the number since, and the dogs rarely appear on her feed now, so any current total is an estimate.
What happened to Kylie’s dog Dolce?
Dolce was one of Kylie’s earliest dogs, and by her own account he was staying with longtime family friends when he got out. He never came back, and she has said little about him since; he predates the greyhound pack entirely.
Does Kylie still have her greyhounds?
Yes, minus Norman, who died in 2025. Bambi, Sophie, and Kevin have no reported departures, and Kylie’s dog nanny handles their daily care. They simply stopped appearing in her posts, which is a content decision, not a documented rehoming.
